The San Diego Visitor Information Center was founded in 1969. We are the largest visitor center in California, assisting approximately one million visitors each year. The center is open daily and is conveniently located just off Interstate 5 in beautiful Mission Bay Park. The facility is newly remodeled and our knowledgeable and friendly staff is ready to assist visitors with all of their questions and to make any necessary referrals.

The San Diego Visitor Information Center is one of the largest distributors of discount tickets to San Diego’s finest attractions. Backlit displays featuring places to stay and things to do throughout San Diego County light up the 4,000 square-foot-center, representing over 150 preferred San Diego businesses. Free maps, restaurant guides and brochures are also available to our visitors.

Located just outside the entrance to the center is a 24-hour, self-service area which features contact information in multiple languages to a variety of San Diego’s accommodations and restaurants. A free direct-line telephone reservation service and complimentary maps are also available after regular operating hours.
